What we hold, and who sees it
Draft — pending counsel review
This describes exactly how COVRD works today and is written to be accurate rather than to be reassuring. It has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

What we collect
When you make an account: your email address, and a name you choose. A phone number if you give one — it is optional.
When you post a job: a description of the work, the address it is at, any photos you attach, and the contact name and phone you want the pro to use. We also store the coordinates of that address so we can work out which pros are near enough to do the job.
When you work as a pro: your business name, the trades you take on, and the area you cover. Jobs you win become records in your own account, along with the customer details you were given.
Automatically: the ordinary server logs any website keeps. There is no analytics product, no advertising SDK and no tracking pixel in COVRD — including in the emails we send.
The important one: when a pro sees your details
While your job is open for bids, pros can see the trade, your description, roughly how far away you are, and the town. They cannot see your name, your address, your phone number, your email, or your exact location. That is not a policy we are promising to follow — the information is not on any screen or request a pro can reach.
The moment you choose a pro, that one pro receives your name, address and phone so they can do the work. Nobody else does. The pros you did not choose are told nothing at all — not that they lost, not who won, not who you are. We keep a record of that hand-over so there is always an answer to who learned what, and when.
Who else touches it
We use a small number of companies to run COVRD. They process data on our instructions and for no other purpose:
- Supabase — the database and sign-in system. Everything above is stored there.
- Resend — sends our email (sign-in links, and the notifications you can switch off).
- Google Maps Platform — turns an address into coordinates so we can match you to nearby pros.
- Railway and Cloudflare — hosting, and the domain.
We do not sell your information, and we do not sell leads. There is no version of COVRD where your details are passed to businesses who then contact you. That is the thing the product exists to avoid.
Payments
COVRD does not take payments today. There is no card processing in the product, and we hold no card details. You and your pro settle between yourselves.
Your choices
Notification emails have an unsubscribe link in every message that works without signing in. Texts are off unless you turn them on.
You can delete your account yourself, from your account page. It asks for your password and a typed confirmation, and it tells you exactly what goes and what stays before you confirm.
Want a copy of your data? Email support@covrdnow.com and a person will send it. There is no self-service button for that one yet — we would rather tell you that than pretend there is.
How long we keep it, and what a deletion actually does
Jobs and their records stay while your account exists, because both sides may need to look back at work that was done. Open job posts expire after a week.
When you delete your account, your sign-in is removed, your photos are deleted from our storage, and any job post that no pro was ever chosen for is deleted outright — post, bids and all.
Two things survive, and we would rather be precise than reassuring. The first is the record of when a pro was given your details, with your name and address stripped out of it. That record is how we can always answer who learned what; deleting it would destroy the evidence that the hand-over was something you asked for. The second is not ours to delete at all: a pro you chose has your name, address and phone in their own customer records, the same as if you had handed them a card at the door.
Children
COVRD is for adults arranging work on a property. It is not for under-18s.
